Strength is an important attribute to have, both in martial art practice and in everyday life. While strength is not required to start with, becoming stronger will make many techniques in our sword fighting classes easier, it will make it easier to use bows with a heavier draw weight in our archery classes, or to use hammers more powerfully and for a longer period of time in blacksmithing.
Over time, strength training will result in stronger and larger muscles; however strength has as much to do with correct application of structure as it does with the size of one’s muscles. In all our classes therefore we have a strong emphasis on generating strength through structure, and the correct application of strength.
If you are interested in beginning strength training and becoming a stronger version of yourself, then you can attend our kettlebell classes, and begin the process of developing that strength.
Feel free to come along to one of our regular weekly classes and have a go, or even sit and watch a session to see if it would be of interest to you. Send us an email if you would like to ask us any questions beforehand, or just swing by and speak to the instructor on the night.
